Definitions: The terms MAFIA, M.A.F.I.A., and Mafia as used on this site all refer to a mythical organisation by the name of the More Active False Information Agency. Any resemblance to any real entity, organisation, or group of people in Shetland or elsewhere is purely coincidental.
The MAFIA works on Joseph Goebbels’ alleged principle:
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.”
He went on to say:
“The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
The lie is that Shetland is part of Scotland.
The truth is very simple: The Crown's sovereignty in Scotland is the same as its ownership of the land. According to The Laws of Scotland they are identical concepts. The Crown does not own the land in Shetland, therefore it cannot claim sovereignty here. Charles III is not our king. IT'S UNBELIEVABLY SIMPLE. The lie is certainly big enough and, as Goebbels said "The truth is the enemy of the State".

Five Chiefs of police have resigned their Shetland post, the Chief Counsel of Ofgem and the Chief Executive of VisitScotland Ltd also resigned - all after being challenged to show proof of their authority in Shetland.
Anyone living in Shetland who knows the truth (as you now do) is living the lie if they continue to aid and abet a fraud. Are you paying UK taxes or buying UK licences? Do you have UK insurance? Do you drive a car with DVLA number plates? Do You pay council tax? If so, you are knowingly living the lie.
These members of the More Active False Information Agency are not able to show how they have the authority necessary to carry on their functions in the organisation. They do not deny committing fraud. Many of them act from the best of intentions, some don't. All have a responsibility to ensure they act within their authority.
